Harehope Hill

Still just the two of us – I could really get used to this! We went for a (very) bracing walk this afternoon up to Harehope Hill, which is just this side of Peebles. Going up would have been fine if we'd set off on the right path… but we managed to correct ourselves by going through a forest ride. It was a lot of uphill after that,  but eventually we made it to the top, and the Harehope rings, which are the remains of a hill fort. Did a geocache there, and then came down by the route we should have taken up… By the time we were coming down, the wind had turned quite icy, and it was in our faces. My eyes and nose ran constantly the whole way down!

Drove into Peebles to see if we could find a cup of coffee (and some scones) but everything was still shut, so we came home and had toasted cheese instead.
